Very good dance tuition. Relaxed with good humour and the aim to please. Good happy atmosphere and interaction. Good support team too!
John Duggan from Ruislip
Trained by some of the top coaches in the UK such as Paul Taylor, Margaret Redmond and David Truman, Philip has over 25 years experience in the dance industry. During his competitive career he achieved many accolades in the dancing world as well as being spotted by talent scouts. He had a starring role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Evita and performed on television alongside West End star Christopher Corcoran
After competing in the UK and around the world on the open competitive circuit for 12 years he decided to turn his passion to teaching. He teamed up with his partner Kathryn to form Hurstdance.co.uk and P&K Hurst Dance Studios and, since then, they have never looked back.
Philip and Kathryn are fully qualified dance teachers and members of the International Dance Teachers Association, Allied Dance Teachers Association and United Kingdom Alliance, as well as being elected members of the Guild of Professional Teachers of Dance and the Dramatic Arts, and being established teachers of several nationwide champions and stars of the musical theatre.
Philip started hosting holidays for TLH leisure Resort in 2014 and is proving to be to be a really popular host. He is also an official compere and host for Blackpool Tower and runs his own dance events around the country. His breaks are always lively, energetic and full of fun. Enjoy great music, a fabulous atmosphere, the highest quality tuition and workshops and attention to detail.
If you are thinking of taking to the dance floor and would like to learn to dance, join Philip on his "Strictly Beginners" Breaks, stages 1 and 2 and enjoy a full "Learn to Dance" experience, with great savings if you book on both breaks.
If you already dance, Philip also hosts a social dance break in February 2016 - and if you want to improve on your steps or even learn something new you can dip in and out of the tuition available on this break. If you don’t have a regular dance partner, Philip will also be hosting a Solos dance break at the Toorak Hotel in March 2016 - so there is something for everyone.
Philip is currently working with the BBC and is to be the face of a new programme to be aired in December 2015 called "Dance Hall Days". He was selected from over 6000 other teachers and will co-host the programme which aims to bring ballroom dancing back to the masses.
